Pharmacy Voices in Healthcare Reform – Webinar 1
The first installment of this webinar series, Rakan KKM: Cost Sharing and the Pharmacist’s Place in a New Financing Model, focuses on Rakan KKM, Malaysia’s first structured co-payment model within public hospitals, and its implications for patients and pharmacists.
Delivering this session is Mr Lim Jing Sheng, a health economist specialising in health systems and policy, health technology assessment (HTA), health economic modelling, and real-world evidence (RWE). His research focuses on health systems research, simulation and system dynamics modelling, and the design and application of economic evaluations, including cost-of-illness, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact analyses, particularly within publicly funded and mixed health systems. In this webinar, he will walk participants through what Rakan KKM is, what co-payment means for patient affordability and access, and what the evidence says about its financial implications for both patients and the MOH.
If you are a pharmacist working in an MOH hospital, this session is especially relevant to you. Rakan KKM may already be taking shape in your workplace, and this is your opportunity to understand the evidence and find your place in the conversation.
