Following our introductory webinar, here we delve deeper into the practical aspects of health policymaking in Malaysia. A key highlight is the plenary forum, where expert speakers will discuss health financing and value-based healthcare. This session aims to provide valuable insights on sustainable health financing models, & strategies to enhance healthcare value and a comprehensive understanding of the policymaking process and key stakeholders. In the hands-on workshop, participants will have the unique opportunity to craft policies in groups based on real-life scenarios. Each group will be guided by a seasoned mentor involved in health policy, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Health FIN-novation: Policy Challenge
10 Nov 2024 (Sun) | 0900 – 1500 | Taylor’s University, Malaysia
This beginner-friendly hackathon aims to create a stepping stone for pharmacists to be involved in actual policymaking, especially in areas and matters related to our professional practice. Compete individually or as a group with 3 members max. Topics will be announced 3 weeks prior the actual competition to enable sufficient time for preparation. The challenge will proceed with a rapid fire policy proposal presentation followed by Q&A from a panel of experts in the field of health-policymaking. Potential outcomes from the policy proposals include actual lobbying of the ideas, or the formation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for further action and proceedings. Apart from the competition, expect another keynote lecture from our line-up of experienced speakers as appetiser prior the hackathon.
