An annual, nation-wide event, the World Pharmacist Day (WPD) is celebrated at  MyTown, Cheras, to raise awareness to the public about pharmacists’ roles in the healthcare system. With the theme: ‘Pharmacists: Your medicines experts’, the main focus of the two-day event was on advocating the expertise of pharmacists in public health.

This year, the WPD 2018 Kuala Lumpur celebrations were a collaborative effort of six parties namely Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS), Malaysian Community Pharmacy Guild (MCPG), Malaysian Organisation of Pharmaceutical Industries (MOPI) and Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA).
