This competition is rooted in the National Medicines Policy (Dasar Ubat Nasional, DUNas 2022–2026) and challenges participants to propose innovative, cross-sectoral policy solutions that address medicine wastage in Malaysia.
With the theme “Healthcare Sustainability”, MIHS 2025, in collaboration with the MPS Safe Medicine Disposal Special Interest Group and the MPS Education Chapter, presents a dynamic initiative dedicated to exploring healthcare policy and fostering innovation.
The Safe Medication Disposal (SMD) Student Ambassador Programme 2025 aims to expose pharmacy students to SMD and train them to be an advocate for safe medication disposal via webinar session. By the end of the programme, MPS-YPC will launch the Safe Medication Disposal Awareness Campaign, which will be carried out by pharmacy student societies from respective universities. The programme is open to all Schools of Pharmacy in the country.
With the theme, “Health Policies: A Malaysian Pharmacist’s Perspective”, MIHS 2024/25 represents a dynamic initiative dedicated to unravelling the intricacies of healthcare policy and fostering innovation in the field. With a series of webinar, hands-on seminar and policy challenge, MIHS will be a platform where visionary pharmacist leaders are educated, empowered and enlightened to chart the course for a better healthcare landscape for Malaysia. No prior experience in health policy is necessary.
